Special Inspections

  • Deep soil foundations including helical, rammed aggregate, and pile-on systems as well as subgrade verification.

  • Continuous and periodic inspections of concrete reinforcement including bar specifications, clearances, placement orientation, lap lengths, and special case geometries. Cold-formed steel deck, shear studs, and penetrations.

  • Steel framing systems including material specifications, member sizes, orientation, bolt-up, welding, and Main Wind/Seismic Resisting Systems. Pre-tension installation verification for hex and tension-controlled (TC) bolts using Skidmore-Wilhelm equipment.

  • Shear wall and high-load diaphragm system inspections including sheathing specifications, nailing pattern, blocking, and seismic Tie-Down Systems (TDS).

  • Inspection of tendon specifications, layout, profiles, and elongation as well as mild reinforcement layout.

  • Inspection of Sprayed Fire Resistive Materials (SFRM) including material substrate verification, application verification, and thickness/adhesion verification.
